Highlights from the Celebration

Our 30th Anniversary event honored the incredible individuals and organizations who have made a lasting mark on our chapter and community.

Words That Inspire —Kentucky Leaders of Tomorrow®

One of the most powerful moments of the evening came from our Kentucky Leaders of Tomorrow® (LOT) students and alumni, who shared how the program has shaped their leadership journeys and life paths.

Amari Jackson, a current LOT participant, spoke about how the program transformed her confidence and helped her discover her purpose. Through sessions on leadership, financial literacy, and personal branding, she learned not only how to lead others but how to “lead myself with confidence, integrity, and purpose.” Amari highlighted her growth during mock interviews and mentorship experiences, showing how LOT continues to prepare students for success in college, career, and life.

Following Amari, Dr. A’mya Vasser — a proud Kentucky LOT alumna and now a Doctor of Occupational Therapy — delivered an inspiring reflection on her own journey from high school student to doctoral graduate. She shared how the lessons she learned in LOT taught her to lead with faith, focus, and perseverance, recalling a formative moment of prayer during a national competition that strengthened her belief in preparation and purpose. Dr. A’mya encouraged current students to “walk and talk like you know you’re a leader,” reminding everyone that leadership may not always be popular, but it is always powerful when guided by faith and integrity. Their heartfelt words reminded us all that the mission of the Kentucky LOT® Program is alive and thriving — cultivating confident, capable leaders who will continue to uplift their communities for generations to come.
